On the test below, you should notice that the Apex has alot more air and less bottom (it had even less with the original transformer.

The modified Apex has a 4-position DIP switch that allows the following options:

• SW-1 = Cathode bypass cap IN or OUT (-6dB gain)
• SW-2 = mild prescence roll-off #1
• SW-3 = gentle AIR roll-ff
• SW-4 = mild presence roll-off #2
