and Production
AE282 has three primary goals:

To complete a full "band" project from pre-production
to final mix. (It's the final exam!)

The project should challenge and expand your
technical and artisitic knowledge.

The Fundamental Review: Initially,
Tracking is about capturing useable incoming signals. It isn't until
Mixing, when struggling to coax nuance from disparate sounds and parts,
that the importance of immediately addressing potential problems becomes
obvious. Think of it as forest / trees / pruning - to quickly act
upon an instinctive impulse; to make intuitive, artistic decisions early
on to so that the entire project goes smoother from the beginning rather
than fixing it in the mix. In a word, NUANCE!
