SL-1176-KIT

SIDE-CHAIN / LINKING OPTIONS

Below you will find a block diagram of the proposed side-chain and linking options for the SL-1176-KIT.  For reference, we will post both the original 1176 "design" as well as the 1178 version.   When linked, the primary goal is to have one MASTER channel that is responding to a sum of both signals.  The most simple execution would be to sum the audio signals before the side chain and have ONE sidechain circuit drive both FETs.

We also propose DC summing of the Control Voltage (CV) to allow greater flexibility and possibly more options.   If the audio summed sidechain saw two signals - one out-of-phase with the other -  it would generate much less Control Voltage (CV) than if the DC CV were summed.

In addition, we plan to have side chain inputs for ducking and EQ.
