Output Amp PCB
Below are two images of the Output AmpPCB,
blank and assembled, so you can check your work. Because the resistors
are 1%, metal film, Color Codes are provided for each part in the Table
below. The Schematic is now a PDF file.Click

We have recently developed three transformer-less
options to allow the budget-conscious builder a functional option.
None of the Neve circuitry has changed and there is some headroom loss
(about 6dB), but it will get you up and running for less money and you
can get back to stock as easy as changing unplugging a connector.
TO BIAS THE OUTPUT AMP
Using a DVM set to read DC volts, alligator
clip the negative lead of the DVM to a ground point. Measure with
the positive probe to the top of the R8 / Q3 emitter junction.
This is the leg of R-8 that is on the inside portion of the board.
Turn RT-1 until you get a DC reading of 2.53 volts. See picture of
completed output amp PCB on the web-site for a reference to measure bias
voltage.
